Top 6 EMF Blocking Curtains For Your Home

Top 6 EMF Blocking Curtains For Your Home

It’s a beautiful morning, you wake up feeling well-rested and walk over to your windows to throw open the curtains letting natural sunlight into the room. Sounds beautiful, doesn’t it? Oftentimes we love awarding brownie points for houses filled with large windows, perfect for letting natural light in and creating a picturesque home. However, have you considered that windows may be the reason EMF radiation is entering your home? You’ve probably tackled how to reduce radiation exposure coming from within the house. However, now we’re going to shift gears and learn how to mitigate problems outside of it.

But don’t go boarding up your windows like it’s the zombie apocalypse just yet. We’ve found the perfect solution for you that’s noninvasive and helps solve our predicament.

EMF Blocking Curtains!

EMF-proof curtains are made from the right blend of protective fabrics and materials to help reduce the amount of EMF radiation that enters your home. Of course, during the day you can open your curtains and let the sun in but these curtains are more nocturnally focused. At night, you can close them, not interrupting your daily flow but adding an extra layer of fortification into your home.

Why nighttime? Why not all the time?

This is a fantastic question, and just to be transparent I had the same one as you. Essentially, the focus is on nighttime because we can optimize our body’s natural functions. When we sleep our body focuses on repairing and healing from the damage that is done during the day. This includes DNA repair, strengthening mental pathways, and you guessed it EMF radiation repair. UsingEMF Blocking Curtains allows you to continue letting that beautiful natural sunlight in while making sure you can still fight off the effects of EMF radiation. Thus, it’s noninvasive to your day but just as effective. Of course, if you want to keep the curtains closed throughout the day, that is perfectly fine too!

The 3 Best EMF Blocking Curtains

So without further ado, we’ll introduce the 3 best anti-EMF radiation curtains on the market. These are fantastic options since they come in several different options. Trust me, we’re promising you the best of the best. But, if at the end you realize that these may not be the right options for you then stick around. We’ve contacted the perfect solution for that dilemma as well!

Mission Darkness is a unique brand that creates EMF protective black-out curtains using Faraday Fabric. This is essentially a special fabric created with conductive metal and carbon compounds. The blend that Faraday Fabric uses is specifically known to be effective in blocking out 99.9% of radiation.

Each of the sets sold includes two panels that are 52 by 84 inches and block frequencies from 10 MHz to 40 GHz. Talk about range! What differentiates this curtain from the rest is that the Farraday fabric is on the inside. This means you can have an exterior made from soft but discrete polyester but still rest assured that you’re safe. An added bonus is that you even have three color options: white, beige, and grey!

3.     Moondream 3-in-1 Sound Insulation Curtain

An Alternative Cup of Tea

If you’re not a big fan of the options that we’ve provided, it’s ok! They’re not everyone’s cup of tea. But don’t worry, we won’t leave you at the mercy of EMF radiation! In the list below we’ve offered three different anti-EMF radiation effective fabrics. This way, whether you want to create your own EMF blocking curtains or make custom liners the options are endless. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that this is the perfect quarantine project too!

1.      Mission Darkness TitanRF Faraday Fabric

As you can see there are some repeating names in this article but it’s only because we want to deliver the best options. And these brands are crushing it at the curtain game! Like we mentioned before Faraday Fabric is fantastic in shielding against EMF radiation and this TitanRF Faraday Fabric protects you against frequencies up to 40 GHz! This means that it’s effective against almost all EMF radiation including millimeter-wave 5G. Not to mention it is easy to cut and sew and can be purchased anywhere from 1 yard to 50! It may look like lightweight fabric but we promise this is a solid material. In fact, they’re so effective they can even function as black-out curtains.

2.      Blocsilver EMF Protection Fabric

> >Check the details on Amazon

What makes Blocsilver so great is that this fabric is protective but also lightweight and airy. If you’re not a fan of bulky curtains this is the perfect option for you. But if you’re specifically looking for a DIY liner, then this is the one for you. Even though Blocsilver fabric is different from Faraday Fabric it is still extremely effective because of the silver fibers that are sewn into it. Silver is extremely effective against EMF radiation so you’re still getting your money’s worth. Not to mention, it also has a surprisingly fantastic range that can handle frequencies from 10 MHz to 4GHz. Blocsilver fabric is also machine washable on a gentle cycle with low heat. Talk about efficiency and comfort!

However, we do have to note that the manufacturer says the fabric loses its effectiveness after 40 or so washes. But, they offer extra guidelines to help you keep your curtains clean and extend its lifetime!

3.      Amradield Copper Mesh Gauze

Like Blocsilver, Amradield also offers a great lightweight fabric that allows light to penetrate or a curtain liner. They are available in 43 inch wide rolls with lengths anywhere from 39-197 inches. No matter what size you need or how many you want to make, you won’t run out of fabric! Abradield also offers a unique blend of fabrics including nickel, silver, copper, and polyester that can definitely vouch for effectiveness. But we’re not done raving about them yet. Not only does Amradield gauze block RF radiation it also blocks out ELF-EMF radiation so it’s a total package!

Tips, Tricks, and Extra Notes

Honestly speaking, there’s no specific way to tackle making your own curtains since it depends on your style. However, we did want to organize this section in order to give you a basic outline of how to approach this project.

To start you need to measure your windows. This will help you get accurate dimensions of your window, decide how much fabric you need, how many panels you need, budget, etc. The two main curtain choices are single panel or multiple panels.

If you want a single panel all you have to do is properly measure your windows, account for seams, and you’re good to go! However, if you want multiple panels there are some extra steps involved. We recommend that you still properly measure the complete width of the window. Then you can divide the measurement by two, or by how many panels you want, to get the width of each panel. Additionally, you should add 4 inches to the width and 12 inches to the height to account for hemming. Of course, these are only our recommended measures, feel free to adapt this to your taste.

If you’re crafty or just looking for that final touch we recommend that you side hem your panel(s). Essentially what you need to do is fold one inch of the fabric on top of itself and sew that section together. This will provide a nice, clean finish. Usually, people recommend ironing your hems to further uplift the look. However, for this project, we do not recommend that since an iron can damage the protective fabric.

As for how to hang your curtains there are quite a few looks you can try. If you want you can make holes in your curtain and attach grommets that fight daily wear and tear, helping your curtains last longer. Otherwise, you can make a small pocket to slide your curtain rod through as well. Overall, it’s really up to your desires and style how you want to approach hanging your curtains.

Closing Thoughts

Before you finalize anything up though, we’d like to provide a word of advice. You should definitely take the time to test these products on your own. It is always better to play it safe and make sure you weren’t sent a faulty or damaged pair.

To do this we recommend using an EMF radiation meter. If you don’t have one don’t fear, we have a fantastic guide on our site that you can check out for some guidance. Once you have secured a meter all you have to do is take a measurement near the window of your choice with the curtains open. Then, close your curtains and take a measurement again. If the EMF radiation levels have dropped you can rest easy and know your products are doing their job!

We hope this guide has empowered you to make the right decisions about EMF Blocking Curtains. Here at EMF KnowHow, we know how much natural sunlight means. Also, we do recommend exploring in-house EMF protection plants. Hopefully, this guide has helped you out in finding the perfect balance between protecting yourself and enjoying nature.
